MetroCast subscribers in the Berwick area will notice a new network on their basic channel lineup. PCN, the Pennsylvania Cable Network, which has been part of the cable operator's expanded basic lineup on channel 62, will be making a move on January 1, 2010. The statewide public affairs network will be found on channel 18 of the basic lineup.
The channel move will allow more MetroCast subscribers to watch PCN’s program offerings including the network’s extensive PA State Farm Show coverage which begins on January 9. Also available to viewers will be other PCN favorites like PCN Tours, PA Books, and PCN Profiles. The network’s "Match of the Week" series will also debut in January.
Berwick is the third system within MetroCast to receive PCN as a basic channel. PCN is currently found on channel 13 in the Pocono area and channel 6 in the Schuylkill area.
"At MetroCast, we feel that PCN's coverage of Pennsylvania State government proceedings and other public forums where the business of the state is debated, discussed, and decided is vital viewing for all PA residents, and we are proud of helping make sure our customers have access to viewing their state government at work," says Tom Carey, General Manager for MetroCast.
