What kind of programming does PCN carry?
PCN is primarily a public affairs network carrying unedited live and same-day coverage of Pennsylvania Senate and House floor proceedings. The network also televises committee hearings, press conferences, speeches and other public forums and events where the business of the state is debated, discussed, and decided.

The network also carries programming on topics and culture that interest Pennsylvania residents. Among these special events include exclusive coverage of the PA State Farm Show, Groundhog Day, PIAA high school sporting championships, Gettysburg National Military Park Walking Tours, and three original weekly series.

“PA Books” is a weekly hour-long discussion highlighting an author or editor of a book spotlighting Pennsylvania history, events, industry, people, and culture.

“PCN Tours” features video visits to museums and manufacturing facilities throughout the state. All tours are led by a representative of the facility and are televised with a minimum of edits. Suggestions for tours are always welcome – PCN does not charge (nor does it receive payment) for producing a tour.

PCN showcases full-length interviews with prominent Pennsylvanians each week on “PCN Profiles.” The program is less issue-oriented than other public affairs offerings on PCN, tending toward life and career decisions made by the featured guest that shaped their personal development.

On Monday and Thursday evenings, PCN televises the live “PCN Call-in” program” giving state residents an opportunity to speak directly to government officials and newsmakers by calling toll-free at 866-PCN-LIVE.

Other regular programs include “Homework Help on PCN,” “Journalists Roundtable,” “PCN Game of the Week,” and “PA Press Club.”
